Coexist peacefully?

I'm sure this may have been asked before but I presently have 3 2"-3" Polypterus senegalus (Senegal Bichir) and was wondering if it would be safe to add a Polypterus delhezi (Armored Bichir) of equal size? They presently live with some smaller african cichlids as well as 1- 4" african knife. Tank is presently a 55 with lots of caves and driftwood on the top to allow for hiding. Thanks in advance from those more experienced.

i once had a 50 gallon bow front with two singal bichirs and one saddle........i never had any problems with aggresion....though one did try to crawl out onto my bed..lol

Don't think there would be any problem, unless you got a real extreme one.

unless you happen to end up with a super aggressive one, shouldn't be a problem.

I appreciate all the positive feedback. As to where I wasnt sure before I think I will begin to shop around my LFS to see what I can find. Any idea of what a fair price should be for one in the 2-3.5 inch range ?
