What trait allows synodontis cats to not notice electric current from an Ecat, and do any other fish possess that trait?

I know others have had very poor luck keeping anything else with e cats, but when I had mine I kept it with some blind cave tetras for about a month. I'm pretty sure they would've lasted longer, but my brother forgot to feed the e cat while I was away on vacation and it slowly began to pick off the tetras one by one. I'd suggest not putting in any fish you're particularly fond of, and whatever you do, make sure to keep the e cat well fed!

As far as i know synodontis catfish are the only things that can be kept with them:confused:. But most E-cats get big enough that a smaller synodontis catfish wouldnt stand a chance. atleast not with a full grown e-cat. It makes me sad i was hoping to pick up another tank for myn but i think he will be the only resident of my 220g.
