Hey guys. I've been looking to purchase a single Datnoid for my 125g that will end up in a 360g when I move. I was thinking along the lines of an IT Datnoid because I've heard they are good for Datnoid beginners but the lfs just called me and told me they had some available that already sold and said they might be available again next week.

The only info she gave me is medium size, coius undecimradiatus, and 45$.

So is this species the "pulcher?" Siamese? Siamese=pulcher the same? Would 45$ be a decent price for that one. I've looked over the stickies and I'll go research some more now but any information would be greatly appreciated. I'm not even sure 100% which datnoid species this is yet so yeah...

The Siamese(ST,Widebar) is the pulcher, the IT,indo is the microlepis and the NTT,Thinbar is the undecimradiatus.....That price could be a little high for an indo depending on what the store considers medium size but if it is an NTT then the price is not too bad. Before you take the plunge, read and learn all you can about them.A lot of people lose interest in them because they are not the most outgoing fish when they are smaller sized.

I've been reading up on them for a little while. I'm definitely interested in keeping just one long term. So with the scientific name this lfs gave me for this guy he would be... Nothern Thai Tiger, ie NTT?

Yes that is a good price for a thinbar of that size.

Sounds good. I called them back and told them in Tuesday if they do get more in to hold one for me and I'll ahve the $ ready.
