not talking 40s but my book says convicts normal temp is 68 and above? that is still low i thought

another thing a man kept a jd for like 10 years without a heater, when my power went out the jd's even electric didn't have a hard time like the others.

Do any of these come from colder areas?

texas cichlid i read also

just for a summer outdoor pond. usually 20 to 30 here

Texas is a North American cichlid which would work well. If they're evasive to the states they'll probably survive that temp too. Some of the South American Geos thrive in colder waters as well.

I messed up the logistics of moving my fish during winter once, the water got like ice cold but both of my JD's survived, three Polleni survived, a couple severums. All my vieja and amphilophus were dead tho :(

More info please

breeding convicts for food would be great, i am doing it with jewels but i doubt they are as hardy
I need to know more about this, please more info!

IT is simple convicts, jewels breed like rabbits. The fry grow fast. THen provide unlimited amounts of food for predators who are picky. Like rocket gars, etc.
I thought you meant you where raising them to eat. I still want to raise fish and easy them one day. jewels are small, but I don't have a lot of room, do they might work for me.I thought that what you meant
