Cold Pond?

You could do a new England native pond. Bass, sunfish, maybe some pickerel or carp of some sort. Not sure on comparability though. If I had a pond this is what I'd try.

I have mosquitofish, topminnows, sunfish, catfish, and shad in my pond. And just recently a bowfin.

All kinds of natives would work.
For bigger predatory fish, Spotted, longnose and shortnose gar can be kept in ponds year round as long as you have a heater to prevent freezing, as can gator gar if you have enough room.

Sterlets are also popular pond fish in europe, and shovelnose sturgeon don't get huge either. As long as your pond doesn't get too warm in the summer.
