I've got to make space for a new rimless biotope project and it looks like my SW setup is in the way. Most of the critters will become snacks for my other fish but I can't bring myself to feed off the four hermit crabs. Just knowing how long-lived they might be makes it a shame to let Oscar have them as a snack. So if you have a coldwater marine setup, email me at aaronalderman@hotmail.com and we can arrange pick-up location, etc. They are actively growing and molting but the shells they are currently wearing should suffice for several more months. Be warned, I don't know the exact species or max adult size. But they are are active all day, eat anything, and are adorable. Max temp shouldn't exceed 70ºF but they are tolerant of very cold conditions.

Never release pets into the wild.

Easy, cute pets without all the silly live rock and expensive doo-dads, these are doing really well in unheated saltwater with strong biological and mechanical filtration. 50% water change once per month has been sufficient to keep them active and happy, apparently. Two are big enough to reach across a quarter, one is a little smaller, and the baby is in a shell the size of a pencil eraser. Currently feeding on sinking fish food, seaweed and a breeding colony of amphipods (also available if you want them, they require no effort to maintain and produce loads of food for everyone including the barnacles if you want those, too.)
