Hey everyone, are there any pleco that can live in cooler waters around the middle to low 70s? Never under 70 though. Going in with goldfish and some dojo loaches and a regular and albino bushynose pleco? Anything besides bushynose and regular pleco? Thanks! :)

Most plecos can handle 70-75. Most people for some reason keep them in the higher range (in the 80's).

Hypans come to mind on that however they can take it in the 70's . Even the Zebra can handle 78.

Most of the more common plecos (commons, L001 and Sailfin) prefer it in the 70's over the 80's

I have a L001 right now in a 75 gal tank without a heater(house stays 75-78 all year long).

Thanks Warborg! If I keep the tank at around 75-78 as a stable temp witha heater, would more fancier pleco be able to handle it? Like royal pleco, gold nugget pleco, etc. Thanks :)
