The locals call it Piraosca or Piracatinga. Its scientific name is Calophysis macropterus.

Yes, that is acaronia nassa. I am always surprised when they open their mouth :O

Definitely not a Carapo, but I'm still jealous, lol. Looks like a Brachyhypopomus sp. of some sort, maybe Brachyhypopomus pinnicaudatus.
