I have 3 senegal, 2 albino senegal, 1 ornate and 1 delhezi polypterus. I want two or three more. Ive seen a palamas, (I can't tell the difference between it and a senegal so I never get one) but I never find any other type of poly around here. Even the distributor my LFS uses doesn't have them. What am I missing from my collection and where do you get it? Are they really expensive?

palmas is a group of 3 bichirs. the most common being the palmas polli. they are pretty active sometime even more so than the senegals. pretty easy to tell the difference from a senegal also. i will attach a pic of mine.

as for completing your bichir collection, i would suggest you contact Toyin at rehobothaquatics.com. he is also in the vendor section forum. he has many of the hard to find bichirs and is a great sellor. shipping cost is better if you order mulitple fish.

this is a palmas polli that i ordered from him over a year ago.
