hey guys...I'm looking to set up a tank in my dorm. I'm interested in a 6 gallon nano cube or something around that size. I have been doing salt only for about the last 4 or 5 years so freshwater fish are alittle rusty. What do you guys recommend that is relativly easy. Im thinkin about neons or cardinals...or mabye some dwarf chiclids...? I havent done fresh in a while so take it easy ha

thanks, Chris

the marineland 5g hex makes a great great dorm tank. as far as stocking goes, there are several many many hundreds or fish and combos you could do.
some suggestions:
5-7(or 9) small schooling fish (tetras, danios, minnows, etc)
1-2 small-medium fish (betta, gourami, apisto, curvicep, ram)
1 dwarf puffer
shrimp tank

Tell us what you decide!

thanks for the reply's guys.

well I think I got the fish I want picked out...im thinking a little school of neons and a cory. Can I get a cory with a sand bottom? or are they best at "scavenging" in small rocky bottom?

Do you guys recommend some kind of small algae eater?

I like the idea of the hex....The corner eclipse is pretty cool to. What other small tank reccomendations do you guys have?

cory cats really do need larger amounts like a school of 4 or 5 when i kept 1 or 2 they seemed very stressed so i added 4 more and they started acting much better but thats just wat i recommend....i say u do dwarf puffer a very cool fish with a personality i loved mine when i used to have them
