anybody have experience with these guys, apparently stay a lot smaller than the peruvian wide bars

i dropped on 11 and couldnt resist,i never intended to have more than 6 long term i wanted to see how they developed over the months and choose from there , but only have them in a 7x2 at the minute as my 8x3 isnt ready for a few weeks

these are 4-6" and the feistiest territorial dollars ive ever owned and ive owned loads over the years from 13" EBH to spotted, striped ,luna whatever

is this territorial constant bickering normal with them they are like coked up red hooks ? its literally like i have a mbuna tank at the minute :D is this purely down to a large group in a small tank

occasionally they school together beautifully but its rare its mainly a chain reaction of bickering i cant decide whether move 5 or 6 on now or wait to see how they go on in a larger tank

some beautiful red on some at this size

Yes, typical Myleus behavior.
Are these new? It seems like they are trying to establish a pecking order.

i sold them,it was getting ridiculous, just constant fighting, ive never had a group of myleus like that before they just upset the tank......traded and got some of my old adult fasciatus back more relaxing and added a few 4" myleus blackberry ,the blackberrys are more like what id expect from the myleus a bit of chasing and charging as myleus do but nothing like what ive just watched for two weeks :D

Those black berries are gorgeous! Probably won't be able to have any up here for a while, they'd probably be big bucks each.
Widebars, usually go after each other when new. It can take anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks for them to establish a pecking order. My newest larger wide bar chases after the other 3.... I hate seeing it... it is very frustrating and causes me to get annoyed but they will figure it out.
