can tigers change color? i swear mine changes from green to tan and black right in front of my eyes' especially when spooked. maybe im just havin flash backs from the good ol days!

Yeah, they change colors according to their moods. My adult Oscar (13") does it regularly. And when he is being naughty, as in spitting gravel, attacking his heater, or trying to shove big rocks around, that is when he turns a vivid red, and vivid black as opposed to the olive green and orange. 
Alot of fish will do this, I think its like people when they get stressed or sick we change colors
