Foods high in carotenoids (krill, shrimp, carrots, red pepper, etc) are great for red, orange and yellow based fish, but I don't know if they have any effect on blue phantoms. I've kept plenty of L128 in my time and the nicest specimens have always been those provided with clean water and good lighting.
With L128, water quality can change their color. Although this can change them a minor amount, the color is predominantly affected by their specific collection area. Northern collection areas show darker variants, while southern collections areas will be lighter.
i got a darker one but was wondering wat specific food would brighten his blue coloration he seems a bit dark
Maybe also temperature will effect coloration. These seem to prefer cooler waters than other plecos (72-77 F: http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=210). There's also a question if these are the same as L200, but just a different color form (http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=223). I'm not sure how lattitude correlates with temp.
