Okay. So I forgot to mention that when I was fishing I snagged a sunny. I think its either a bright red breasted sunny. Or a red spotted sunny. It's god dang gorgeous. I ussually am not a fan of sunnies because they bore me. But this one just rocked my world and made me give them a bit of respect more than I had. I used to get peeved when on days all I could catch is a dang sunny. Now if all the sunnies I saw where like this or a rock bass id be happy. He looks like a firemouth along with a greenish face and red tail and fins.

But. I would be sad if his coloration started to dull quickly. I caught it this week though and still nice colors. Anyway to keep the colors up or enhance it on fish like this?

P.s.

Do you know how SOME sunnies get a hump on their heads? I was wondering how I can do that and how I could sex my sunny?

One of the best foods is NLS(New Life Spectrum) I'll be honest, I have never used it because I'm temporarily out of the fish hobby(i could only choose fish or reptiles for the tome being). But if you do the research its probably one of, if not the most nutritional fish pellet out there. Check out posts by RD. All people who get there fish on NLS seem to be very happy. But many have difficulty getting there fish on it. Fish that use NLS have color brought to the best that it could be. Id use Cichlasoma formula.

Post some pictures of your sunnie!
