on an icecube.....
ive been looking for some motoros for a wile now and the only ones i can find arent in the best shape, there at a LFS in a small tank with several retics, and have vary faded colors the guy said its just because theres so many rays in the tank and wonce there in another tank the colors will come back, is this true or something bad? and if i do buy them should i dose them with prazipro or any other meds right away just in case? there going in a tank buy them selves for a wile then to grow out in my 125g

yea...it happen to me though.... previously the ex-owner put it in a black dark aquarium....so the motoro seem dark.....
but when the rays is wit me, i put it into a clear white tank.....they colour seem lighten n start turning into brownish when the rays get stable.....
i hope so its stable.....
profesional, please help me toO!!

my motoros vary a little in color sometimes dark and sometimes lite in color. a guid to picking a healthy ray would recommend getting the freshwater stingray book it is a Barron's paper back book by Dr. Ross. there is a good section on selecting your ray. i have some nice ones for sale right now ,but is pickup only you can find it on buy sell there are other vendor on here to that may be able to help you get a healthy ray. good luck

well your white tank will make the ray look lighter..... and they are probably stressed.... i would do a dose or 2 of prazipro to be safe....

thanks for the great info NIC....
would u mind to recommend any good brand of PRAZIPRO....
if possible, can you post up some pic of PRAZIPRO u using???

my advice would be dont buy any rays thats not healthy and feeding

I have never used any meds with my ray. Is this something I should do. I do use aquarium salt, I read about salt on the boards, and Prime water conditioner.
