Land of sun
In the past I have seen pictures of a brilliantly schemed "Platinum 24k Cichla" caught whilst fishing in Brazil, river system unknown however it's a Kelberi so we can assume it's a more southern location. Pictures of the fish will be uploaded.

Now, browsing around a bit on YouTube led me to this specimen. A leucistic? I thought albino at first however the abdomen and eyes threw me off, the melanin in the eyes is really heavy. Either way, looks like another male Kelberi? No anal/pelvic fin spotting however the lack of pigmentation can explain that. Body shape most resembles one. Anyways, enjoy, hopefully one of these morphs will hit an aquarium.

Tbh not necessarily on the south. The only time Ive seen people talking about them it was on Northeast, in my state. And this video you sent is from our neighboor state, Rio Grande do Norte.

I hope someday I can catch a fish like this. I will for sure stop fishing and go home with him.

Color morphed Cichla or the C. Kelberi? If morphs are more frequent in the Northeast that would be pretty interesting.

Me too man, me too.

Someone posted a full gold kel like that recently here, from what he said it started normal then peeled like a red devil. Search 24k and you should be able to find it

I think I found it, very nice looking brick of gold that's for sure! I remember seeing a "piebald" cichla on the net somewhere and even a flat out silver one too. Can't remember where it was, if I find them I'll post them.

If you look around on the net there are pics of cichla just like that one in the trade already. I made a thread asking about acouple I found in someone's tank online.
