I've had my wolf fish for about a week now and he seems to be happy getting use to the tank. I was just wondering if its ok for my wolf fish to be silver and black? I notice that most mala's are green/brown/black not silver and black. Do you think everything is ok?

Any pics of him with his current color, or is that what it looks like currently? (From the pic above)

That is from the day i got him, but he is exactly the same color so i didn't take another.

Should i be worried? Or is it normal? He ate some tilapia tonight and a feeder so i don't think he is sick.

could the color of substrate be one of the factor? I know at least with piranha the color of fish will be darker with dark substrate.
my wolf appears to be not as dark in a bare bottom tank when compare to in a tank with black gravel.
you probably don't have to worry and maybe over time it'll settle down more and get darker as it get bigger.
