Color of stand vs color in tank

If I'm aiming for a darker color in the tank, with spray painted black background, black sand, and maybe dark gray rocks...do you think a pine colored stand rather than a black colored one would take away from how the tank looks?
 
I'd use black sand. The contrast may make it look wierd, but I'm a visual person so IDK really.

He is using black sand :screwy:.
But pesonally I'd stick to a dark color stand................

saw that too . . . he might have made a typo (?) . . . either way, I agree, a darker stand looks better with a dark setup
 
OOPS. A darker stand would be ideal IMO. I totally thought he said sand, idk. whatever. lol
 
that will look sweet with the black with black with grey/black decor. your gonna have to post some pix when it's done...
 
I have to disagree with the rest. My tank has black sand and the back is painted black. The tank stand and canopy are oak and it looks really sharp.
