Color of young red severum?

Hello, I need your help
Here, in Costa Rica, is almost impossible to find a red severum.
A friend of mine is selling me a young severum (about one inch), and he told me it will become a red one, but not yet, because is too young.
What is the color of the red severum when the are young? Are they red from the beginning or they change their color?

How red severums are bred is still a bit of a mystery - most juvies seem to come from Asia, and are usually 2"+. Not sure what they would look like at 1".

Ask your friend where he/she got it from...

This is mine when I got him 10 months ago, at about 2" -

mine was very red at a young age. You'll see some orange as well. At 1 inch u should be able to notice some red.
