I have a 10" Midas who's colors are rather bland. Any ideas on how to bring more of the orange out. In addition he's developed a sore on his nuchal hump, any ideas on that as well???? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A varied high quality may help out. The nuchal hump is normal for most males. Females can get them too...

What are you feeding your Midas?

I feed him Hikari Cichlid Gold Pellets in the morning and frozen brine, bloodworm and vegetable in the evening.

could you explain what you mean by sore on his nunchal hump?
do you have a picture or anything?
he might have HITH (hole in the head...)

I get good results with a mix of Bio-Gold+, Omega One* and feeding various kinds of shrimp as treats . . .

* with the Omega One, I feed a mix of equal parts Cichlid pellets + Color pellets + Hikari Excel (veggie) pellets . . . my guys seem to love it . . .

It appears to be the beginning of a hole, any suggestions???

you gotta post pix . . . best way to get good feedback

If you want more red color feed a diet high in carotene. Krill, crayfish, etc. Natural sunlight helps tons as well.
