I went to the aquarium in February. I was really kinda disappointed. I do not think they maintain their fish very well at all, and several of their "biotopes" where just screwed up. They had african cichlids in the rainforest, lol. I just expected it to be more professional and more about educating the public. It was still pretty cool. They had a huge 36+ inch fire eel, some fw rays, several asian aros and some other cool stuff.
I think the denver zoo has nicer fish. They dont have many, but they are well kept and look good. They had a FRT, some cool snakes, some lungfish, an arapiama or two, an RTC and TNS and some large central american cichlids.
If you decide to go somewhere to look at fish/critters I think your money is better spent at the zoo, but thats just me.
It looks like I wont be able to come to the auction. I wish I could, but I have to work on our basement (this remodling will never end). I hope you guys have fun and get some sweet fish. I will have to try really hard to come to the next one.
Some one should take pics of the auction and post them. That will make me regret not being able to go, lol.
