got this pond last year but never got around to set it up till now. 350g but the inside dimension is only 320g after all the foam insulator. 96"x36"x22" inside dimension. filtration is laguna 700 with UV light and tetra pond pf1 filter filled with matrix. fishless cycling now with household ammonia. plan on doing colorado native fish, whatever i catch from local lakes and pond. no heating. hopefully the water stays around 50-60 in the winter and 80 in the summer.

besides the bass family and maybe a sturgeon from the colorado river and trout which are hard to keep in a tank what are some other natives. Muskelunge and Northern Pike right? that would be a sick tank with a few pike and some bass. send pics when you catch your first specimen for the pond

Might not hurt to talk to fish and game before advertising that you are going to keep fish from native stocks. ;)

bass are fun, blue gill too- they are simular to cichlids- in attitude, not water conditions of course. perch!

Bluegill/bass/bullhead catfish would be cool...Also maybe a bullfrog(have a little land part)....Rock bass? pretty cool..Here in Illinois local lake has some Rock Bass they look like miniature version of striped bass

No sturgeon, Muskie (we have some tiger Muskie, just no "true" Muskie), or rock bass in Colorado. Also, it is ILLEGAL to transport live fish in this state, so watch out for that.

I agree with you on your advise, firsher12889. Another word of advise is the Colorado Pikeminnow is on the endagered species list, so be cautious. You get caught with one of those . . . well let's just say, I wouldn't want to be in your shoes.

Have fun and enjoy getting your native tank set up. I look forward to seeing your accomplishments with this endeavor. Best wishes.

Edit: Nice looking pond by the way. I hope it all works well for your needs. Do you have any photo's or thread on you pond build? Would like to see your work on that if you do. Anyway, thanks for sharing with us all.
