So I caught this little dude from a neighborhood pond in either late May or early June and brought him home along with a perch and sunfish (I put those in my buddy's pond and they're doing awesome even now that it's cold). He was so little and he's about 7 inches now and starting to look like a legit bass! I have him in a 135g with only about four other fish. I want to get a 200g for them but I can't afford it quite yet. He's awesome though! So aggressive, and I finally got him to eat silversides and frozen shrimp a few weeks ago along with my increasingly large Florida Gar, who is the main reason I need a bigger tank.

looks good.
how is his aggression? I know they cluster in the wild, but with a much smaller area I'm wondering if they might not get cranky. I'm thinking about putting 3 in my 245G next round.

He's a bit of a butthead, but he doesn't get too cranky unless he's not eaten in a few days (which is rare, haha). I wish I had three, but I don't have the room. I think that'd be awesome in a larger tank! If you have bigger fish, they will keep him in line.

right now, the plan is for 3 smb, a yellow bullhead or two, and a jade goby.
I've got years until my current stock dies off though.
