Both of the below fish came from a lower Tennessee river trib.

Anyone care to ID them? (noto you're not allowed to participate since you might have used them as bait as a kid :D)

i know you know how many types of darter there are! this is unfairXP lol jk

Are E. nuchale (watercress darters) in the lower TN. River?

Darters by shear numbers can be intimidating but with books, you'll be able to look at key features and with some speed get close and fast. Location is really important as well since the TN river tribs have a whole mess of very similar darters. To help a bit since you might be looking at ranges in a book, both of these live in western KY and TN.

Man, I can't wait until March, when they start firing up. Which reminds me, I need to build a new photo tank.
 
iam not good with darters and iam to lazy to get my darter book out, maybe if no one gets it tomorrow ill drag it out and take a stab at IDing them, untill then good night
