i just recently added a juvenile orino to my collection. i was just around what size will it really start to have that bright green coloration on its body and blue coloration on his fins. hes about 3.5 inches now.

most people's will look good 12+ but you can get them to show colors around 6 depending on the sp.

I had a columbian that started to get green at 9" or so. 5-9" he was spangled with a pretty irredescent sheen.

I have 3 that are about 6" now. They are somewhat spangled, but already getting pretty green.

Your orino may not get green at all...

yup.. some orinos will be yellow and even brown/gold with a little yellow on there cheeks and no green. im pretty sure they all have the blue fins though...body colors depend on the sp. of the cichla and were they were collected
