At that size they would love frozen bloodworms. Just thaw the cube and squirt them into the tank with a med. sized eyedropper. They should tear them up. Other choice is live guppies, but be careful feeding too much live food. Youll get them to where they wont eat anything BUT live food then youll be stuck with large fish that are difficult to care for.

thanks for the input.. they do tear into the blood worms. and am trying to stay away from the live food, any chance of giving them pellets this early?? and how often do they need to eat at this 2" size??

have you tried breaking up the pellets?? i was thinking about doing that, maybe mix it in with some blood worms

Thats it! I would melt my blood worms cube in a little cup and mix in crushed pellets. Over time they get used to the pellets and you just keep upping the dosage of pellets to bloodworms. I would feed this to my juvie orino's 3-7 or more times a day. I fed em by spoon as well...they would come up and hammer the mix right off the spoon....yup they got spoiled. Now they are all 10"+ and all eat pellets :)
