My 12" Colored Midas monster recently paired up with my 5-6" female Barred Midas and I just looked in the tank and they laid eggs. These two are extremely nice specimens,the male has a huge hump and the female has bright red eyes,dark bars and a super red belly.I'm excited to get some piebalds out of these.I'll post pics tonight.

i dont think piebalds are as easy to come across as mixing a colored with a barred, im pretty sure they have to actually have the piebald gene, so maybe you would have some if you mixed a colored and piebald or something like that but i think the offspring will just be a mixture of coloreds and bared or all barred carrying the colored gene but that's just assuming the traits follow basic mendelian genetics which i dont think they do since these traits contain variable expressivity they are a bit more complicated in how they are passed down so dont think it would be as simple as crossing barred with colored but not positive
