so i know shrimp will color up better if they are in dark substrate. but i have a tank that i will be using pool filter sand in that is not white but not that dark either is there any specific shrimp that colors up better in these conditions then another? thanks for the help

Most caridina species have colors that are more consistent regardless of substrate. For a light colored substrate like that, I would go with something like a dark green shrimp. More importantly, what is your pH as that will determine what species you can keep.
