I come look at my tank this morning and I notice pretty much all my fish are hiding. 2 green servums, 1 red servum, GT, JD, 2 blood jewels, and one convict. They were pretty much all hiding and the only ones out were my 3 tiger barbs. Usually everyone is out and about swimming around and come to the front and now they are all hiding. Only thing I did was do a 25% WC yesterday and two days before I added a little bit of aquarium salt because I noticed my jewel was hiding and not moving and now everyone is. I will test the water later, you guys think it could be high nitrates or something bigger?

colors all fadedd as well....

Help PLEASE! Some of my fish are twitching and rubbing themselves on the sand and branches. I think the high nitrate levels are getting to them. How should I lower them? I know to do a water chang, how much % should I do. I am definetly going to get some real plants to helo out with this. Not overstocked n feed once a day.

Do a 35% w/c and use some stress coat. I would also check the water parameters...if there is indeed high nitrate levels, you may need more oxygenation in your tank. & to reduce the high nitrate levels (if thats the problem)...you could try a product like API Nitra-Zorb

water parameters and pics. I would do a 75% water change with prime/safe as a first step and then do another 75% change the next day. If they still are flashing it is either ick or some other external parasite and I would use quick cure.
