what do you do to help bring out the colors in your fish?

i find its all about food a nice quality pellet is alwasy good i feed mini dinaichi pellets and it really brings out nice colors, warm water also bring out nice colors, and no strees

the right type of lighting does wonders. you could feed the best foods but if you have a 3000K incandescent bulb, the fish will look like crap

if you feed good food and keep the water in great shape, the fish will look great although with crappy lighting it would be more subtle

I think most importantly a good diet with lots of variety.
