Colourful baby Dat

I see a few of these colourful baby datanoids frequently around 2-4cm but never had a camera with me. Can anyone tell me what type these are? Are they a different species or the same species which lose colour with size? ie What size do they lose the colour? There was a price difference.

Also took another picture of a school of normal juvenile Dats. Sorry for the image quality on this post.

Those indos in the sec pic look really thin and sickly. And is that ngt in a 5g tank? That jap heater is huge next to it! LOL!
