colourful peaceful cichlid

Any ideas for any colurful peaceful cichlid that keep relatively small that'd go well with my rays.

Have couple red severums already but fancy a handful of smaller faster fish,

I'm not an expert on ray compatability and since you already have Severums: Acaras are generally peaceful, stay small (6 inches about) and get colorful. Firemouths are about the same but some can be mean little suckers (mine included sometimes) Chocolate Cichlids get to be pretty large but are pretty peaceful and I like the look of them. What size tank?

Like the look of blue acaras will do some research on them,

How about electric blue jack dempsey, they're generally peaceful?

EBJD are more peaceful than regular JDs but are also much harder to keep and more expensive. They're more succeptsble to health issues at a younger age which makes them harder to grow. Personally I like the looks of a regular JD more than an electric blue. I have a JD right now and it's a beautiful fish, with a great personality to add to it, even tsnk mate friendly lol

Hmm good advice thanks, will have a look for some colourful stand jd's then maybe!

Acaras are nice but not as colourful

A tank big enough for rays should be able to hold a harem group of green terrors. They are very active very colourful and surprisingly peaceful in spacious tanks.

If you wanted something smaller biotadoma cupido are attractive, peaceful and do well in groups.

Rainbows are very peaceful and colorful. They get about 6".

Vieja heterospilus is the most peaceful cichlid ive ever kept. Doesnt bother any tankmates wether they are cichlids, cats, polys, plecos, barbs never had an issue with it
