Saints are playing the Cowboys now. 13-0

Colts already won Thursday. 14-0

Or is will the Dolphins protect their legacy by beating the Colts in the AFC playoffs and then take down the Saints in the Superbowl:headbang2

GO Fins:naughty:

Super Bowl: Colts 35, Saints 24

Extending the season by more games has created the illusion that the dolphins were the best team ever by being undefeated. Had the football seasons of the 80's been as long as they are now there is a good likely-hood that the dolphins would never have stayed undefeated. Since then, teams have had winnings streaks that are just as long. Yet because of the increased number of games they have not been able to obtain a perfect season.

At least know what your talking about :duh: the seasons of the 80's were 16 games long.

There have only been 3 teams to ever make it to 14-0 during regular season

'72 Dolphins
'07 Patriots
'09 Colts

So in 32 years of 16 game seasons there have only been two teams to even get to 14-0 and they each had the benefit of a bye week in the middle of the run to rest players. Not an easy feat, as you seem to think it is.

Another interesting note, the '72 Dolphins actually had to play the AFC championship on the road in Pittsburgh:screwy:

I don't consider any of the recent Patsy Super Bowl appearances to be legit due to the largest cheating scandal in NFL history. And the 72' Phins didn't just win 14 straight, they won 17 straight all the way to the Lombardi Trophy!
