Columannaris vs. True Fungus please help!

i was given a medication for columamnaris or body fungus but now that i have a closer look at my fish im starting to think it's true fungus...

can anyone show me the real difference between the two...

is body fungus more stringy cotton-like and true fungus- is straight up like cotton? here's a pic

edit: would be cool to if some gives me pix of the two illness

What med did they give you? Furan is effective for bacterial infections. Your other alternatives are acriflavine and maracyn. Is the fish eating well?

i have maracyn right and i am treating him with it...

he hasn't been eating though
