I have had my columbian cat for about 2 months now and just noticed the other day he/she is actually "yawning", literally opening it's mouth reallll wide, then closing it, blinking, then proceeds to swim all over thank. [very amusing to watch] Though I'm just wondering if any other columbian cat owners have seen this or could explain what he/she is really doing, and why.

This has also made me wonder if I should put another one in there to keep him/her company, as I know they like to school. I just hope I'm not causing any harm by keeping one alone.

My fish "yawn" all the time, there is another thread about this very thing.

1I had two, but one didnt make it and the one left I felt bad for, I put him with my ID's and he schooled with them all the time. I ended up getting rid of him, but I would get him another one. The personlity sure does change when they have someone else.

every fish I've ever owned flexed it's jaws occasionally, kinda like us cracking our knuckles I think. :) Yeah I've had tons of columbian shark cats they are ussually a lot more active in big groups.
