I was ranting over on the SA/CA section about how crappy Aquarium Adventures fish store in Cleveland is... and I was about to give up on them all together. My finance and I traveled south to visit the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium this weekend, and Columbus' AA was only 10 minutes away! Time for redemption? HECK Yeah!

The store was the complete opposite of the Cleveland one. Although still pricey, but comparable on dry goods(fish club DOES help), the fish room is amazing. The people in charge really know how to keep healthy fish. The aisles were labeled by geo location, which was a cool touch. A lot of different species of fish that you would normally not see. I found this gem in a bottom tank and sneakily took a pic (pearsei). One of the employees told me they feed all of their fish Spetrum, which is awesome. The Cleveland store declined my request to even sell the stuff, lol. Blah blah blah... GREAT store. Worth a 2 hour drive.

Columbus Zoo was amazing! 190,000 gallon manatee tank during feeding time was remarkable. Their enormous reef tank was awesome... and the facility that filtered it was even better.

Here are some pics... If you get an opportunity, take a trip

I was just at that AA a week or two ago. That Pearsi pair has been there since last year. I wonder if they breed, if so you'd think they'd be selling the fry by now. They have a good selection of cichlids, but not great. For example; they have at least 3-5 shell dwelling Tangs, but none of the torpedo shaped predatory ones. They also have a lot of SA dwarf cichlids. They do have reasonable HRPs. Also some young P damis from Madagascar.

nice photo's thanks for sharing...
