Columnaris and Guppies

Hi guys,

Anyone have ever battled columnaris before? It's causing many deaths, one by one, with my guppies and it's super upsetting! Some guppies have been around for quite a while already and the next thing you know it their lips turn white and body start to turn white and after a few days they die... Have done water change and added aquarium salt but not sure if it is helping... Any bros have any experience or know any medications that are effective? Thanks in advance!

The last time I introduced new guppies into one of my guppy tanks, I had the same thing happen. One by one. I'm anxious to know about treatment, also.

The first thing to do if your sure your dealing with columnaris is do a 50% water change, lower the temperture to below 75 degrees (24C). Dose the tank with 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons of water. Then post your water perameters ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, Ph and hardness if available. These numbers will determine the best med to use.
