Well I brought home a new Cichlid for my mixed African tank hes been in there 2 days and guess what hes got columnaris. This isn't my first time with the disease had it with some minnows and treated it with maracyin (spelled wrong?) and it worked they healed up and did fine after wards, but that was in a 29gallon tank and it woulda been 16 to treat it properly we did it a little improperly and didn't buy a second box so only did a little over half the treatment. Now to treat a 55gallon tank it would be 24-32 and my girlfriends pissed about spending that on fish. Yes I know I should have quarantined the new guy but my quarantine tank is currently holding a shubunkin I think has ick just waiting to see. So now I'm in quite the pickle -.- any ways to treat for under 20 for a 55gallon or even cheaper? Or am I just SOL.

Well, your cheapest option would be to provide perfect water quality and reduce any form of stress possible: Low lighting, low noise around the tank, reduce vibrations around the tank, feed a high quality diet, minimal handling, etc.

Nitrite and Ammonia are at 0, as for nitrates I dont have a test >.< but they should be good yesterday I did about 30% wc
Ph last I tested was around 8 and due to the wc should be around 8 thats the ph of my tap water

I can do a 25-30% wc every day.
I also turned off their lights so the light going in is just a little that's comming from the room as for noise my room is generally pretty quiet and the tv is far away from em when it is actually on, I've been feeding em Cichlid sticks but cant remember the brand, I also have hikari and wardly Cichlid food but they are in ball shape and they don't really seam to like them as much they really only go after the sticks and they get dried shrimp as an occasional treat.

Managed to pick up enough maracyin to treat the 55 for 20. Started treatment this morning and hopefully the lil guy I just got will make it. Not worried about the others since they are not showing any signs yet.
