My fish were being treated for this disease with maracyn for over 2 weeks. The fungus is gone as far as I can tell, but their mouths are still locked in the open position. Not all of the fish are like this, and the junveniles are the ones mostly with the problem.

Also, I have a molly in there that has air bubbles in her skin. I believe this is gas bubble disease. I have increased the air in the tank to twice what it was.

I treated the tank with double salt for the last 3 weeks, water changes every 2-3 days (10-15%) and when the maracyn wasn't helping, someone told me to treat with fungus clear, which I did.

Are my fish still sick? Will their mouths ever recover? I have 19 new babies in there and need to know if I have to move the sick fish, or move the babies to a 5 gallon tank. If the fish with the mouth problem are suffering or won't recover and will get more sick, I am wondering if I should just humanely put them out of their misery now.

Columnaris is highly contagious. Continue treatment with maracyn. Columnaris progresses best in warmer temperature so I would keep the temperature consistent at 25-26 degrees Celsius.
