Com of rare shape Channa Micropeltes

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've seen this 'shape' before and the story was that the Channa injured its spine badly from jumping and knocking against hard surfaces. I believe this can also happen from being cramped in tiny enclosures which is not the case here. Wonder what was their condition before coming to this tank.

This is crazy to see all of them like that. Poor them, must be difficult to swim and move as they are meant to.

ive seen these deformation before many times. I was told it was 'designed' to look like that. Not sure how tho. It is cruelty...plain cruel.

Yuck!

definitely look more snakelike in this state. I've seen a single RTC with it's tail pointing 90 degrees north, which was from a cramped tank. Hard to fathom how all these channas got to this state in a single tank.

looks horrible. :(

Terrible, someone should eat 'em...
