So I have 2 55gal set up right now each with an aro.
11"-12" arowana is with two angels approx 3"-4" and a 5ish" brown knife.
7" arowana is with 4 angels, 2 large Severums, 6" needle nose gar, fairly big pleco, a 4"-5" ghost knife, 4"-5" albino bichor and a banjo cat that I only see when vacuuming the gravel.

I just picked up a 120 gallon tall tank and would like to combine some of these in it.
I was thinking the two aros, the gar, the bichir, both knife fish (each in their own favorite stump deco on opposite sides of the tank) and a couple smaller albino bristle nose plecos I just bought that are currently in a different tank.
Would this selection likely be ok with each other?
Any input on this mix? I know the aros grow very rapidly and I am still looking for a 300+ but I think this will work.
It's hard for me to picture, but I dont think it would be too crowded, probably more room then they have now..
Any thoughts would be very helpful and appreciated.

I wouldn't buy anything new to add. I'd put the arrows in the new tank (though ultimately it is way too small) along with the gar and knife fish, but unfortunately you better be thinking much bigger and asap

Also your tankmates may become meals when ur aros get bigger. They will outgrow ur other fish quickly.

I know it will be too small I'm still on the hunt for a steal on a 300+ tank.
Just trying to arrange them the best I can for them.
So the aros, gar, the bichir and both knives are the best for this 120gal for now?

I'm not buying anything, I just got a bunch of young bristle nose pleco and wanted to put one or two in there.
I have six tanks up right now so they will be distributed between those.
Thanks for the info.
Axs377, what do you mean "unfortunately ", I'm always thinking and looking for larger.:)

I don't mean to be disrespectful but this is why you never buy fish without having means for upgrading and/or doing the research in the very least..

Your tank is going to be way too overstocked..all those in a 120??

No worries.
Again I have many tanks and can spread them out, as well as always on the look out for a larger on.
I'll probably keep my small aro it's it's current home along with the ghost knife he is already with, I actually think it's a 65gal, it's a bit bigger than my 55.
I'll give the large aro, gar and the bichir the 120 gallon and that will definitely be good for them until I find a larger home for them.
Thanks for the help guys.

When discussing tank size the gallons have little affect/meaning. Its all about the footprint especially with long slender fish like aros and gars. Need to get a tank with no less than 24".
