Comet Goldfish problems!! D:

while searching on the internet, i found a picture of something that looks like the white dot on my comet goldfish:
it's not my picture. i'm just saying that those 2 dots near the top of its dorsal fin. at least i think it's the dorsal fin. It's the fin on the very top. Those two specks look like the same one that my comet goldfish has on its tailfin. it's near the edge as well. But there's this redish streak at the tip of the tail. the redish streak was NOT there two days ago. so what is this dot? and what's the red streak?

if it turns out that it's a disease, than i have to go to petco/petsmart to buy stuff tomorrow. i've had my goldfish for about 1/2 a year. the wierd dot only appeared the day before yesterday though.

its probably a bacterial infection lupin will tell u for sure what ull need

its most likely ich. very treatable, esspecially if you only notice two spots. a few doses of quick cure and you should be fine.

well, i tried the saltwater treatment several days ago, but i don't see any change. WIll it take effect soon? I mean the effect of the saltwater treatment.

its not ick ick would of spreaded by now leave the fish be and pay close attention to it and watch for sudeen changes

it COULD be a fungal infection. most likely not. if it gets worse, just go to your LFS and ask

he just acts normally. my mom suggested that the smaller fish nipped his tail fin or he scraped it on the plastic plant i have, but that's unlikely. the two get along well. and he never really goes near the plant.
so i'll take your advice and just leave him be.
