Comet goldfish setup

So a couple months ago when ny step dad had Oscars he gave them goldfish feeders and they never at one. He kept it in there for three months before I took it out and put it in my old community tank. Now im thinking of putting it in my old 20 long with some snails and shrimp. Would this be ok? Its 6 inches and in my 45 but since im leaning toward cichlids I want to move it.

Any suggestions?

If you want it to grow to its full potential, I would give it a larger tank like a 55 or at least a 40b.

that oscar will easily outgrow the 45 gallon let alone a 20 long. oscars grow fast and i wouldnt keep one in anything less then a 90 in my opinion, others will say a lot larger
