I was on here almost 10 years ago and used to keep a discuss tank. Unfortunately due to life changes my tanks were dismantled and have been in storage for almost 6 years. Finally got the blessing from my wife to put one back up, so now I'm back.
Not unless its been under fairly extreme and sudden temp shifts, and exposed to full UVHopefully it doesn't leak sitting empty for that long

.............more likely than not, its fine.
I said hopefully doesn't leak.....didnt say it was.....
T taggart.josh welcome back to the hobby! What are you planning for stock this time around?
Agreed on the leak tests.Blessings from the wife...lol..... Sooooooo glad I never ran into that issue. It was more like "Honey I'm moving this stuff to put up a tank. Should I toss or move it to the shed?" Sorry. I always find it funny when people post about permission from a significant other. Anywho.... Welcome back! I would recommend water testing your tanks before setting them up as leaks can occur from long term storage. If you look through the threads you will see it's been an issue for a few members as of late. Good luck with the new tank!
