Very interesting. At first, I thought NO. These people live a very stressful life of always having to be the best, etc... It is driven in them as soon as possible.
A well kown fact that people who are allowed to intact with animals through touch are living longer, recover faster from illness and over all are either stress-free or less stressed than others.
The studies have shown that this seems to only work with animals that have fur. The elderly in nursing homes enjoy time with dogs and cats that are brought to the homes by volunteers. The nursing homes saw the changes in the residents so dramtically, that many of them allow a cat or dog to permanently live with them.
Even the elderly that won't talk or interact with people have done a complete change and are now outgoing friendly people.
So if the cat shop helps the people then let them have it.
