I saw that yesterday too. Kinda neat, but I doubt my LFS would ever shell out for that.

I won't be surprised to see it in Petsmarts. If they can cut hours by having a machine do the test and tell people what to buy they will be all over it, technology triumphs again.

I won't be holding my breath waiting to see one in a LFS. Nice concept, but most likely expensive.

I'm hoping they do it like soda and snack vending machines...charge a reasonable fee (would have to be reasonable/small to get me as a customer) and the LFS and THRIVE company split the profits.

Also, if the fee was reasonable then I would probably test my water more often and spend more time at my LFS...and we all know that time=money. I can just see my wife's face when I come home every time.

I'm sure Petsmart will have'em. I imagine only high end LFS get these though.

Not really, after 30+ years of keeping fish I never use test kits. I do own one that tests for pH. Bought it in 1978 for 89 cents. LOL!
