Hello, i just have a question which i am not sure about. I have 2 NTTs around 3" and just recently bought 5 1" ITs and was wondering if i am able to keep them together? or best that i seperate them until they get larger.

ive seen 10" dats with 2" dats and they were fine
ive kept 5" with 1" so you should be fine

any chance that they cannibalize???

They will probably not eat each other at such a small size difference. The bigger dats will slow down in growing speed and the other dats will catch up. It will be fine.

Really?

Should be fine, I've seen bigger size differences with no problems ;)

i recall somebody here that said his bigger dat ate the smaller.. i cant find the post..that post worries me little..

i think that was by accident because the smaller dat was next to the feeder fish and was accidentally swallowed with it. DONT FEED FEEDERS! kakaka

Is it ok to have a 1 inch/quarter sized dat in a community tank? mostly filled with ram's, gourami's, pleco's, tiger barbs and clown loaches?

It can work. (Maybe not for every case) I've kep a Tiger comm of every species from 16" to under 2" in one enclosure. Keep them well fed. and provide hiding spaces. I'd be more concerned with bullying than cannibilism. But thats just my experience.
