Well, we can start with bichirs...They do not need a huge tank, but a nice sized tank would be a 40 breeder or a 55 gallon.
Now Aro's are a different story, you are going to need a big tank for them....I had mine housed in a 125 gallon all his life, but there are some on this site that will say a 180 is the min size tank you need...Its just prefrance. The Black Aros do not get as big as the Silvers, but the Blacks are more expensive and harder to find. You may see the Blacks labled as a "blue" Aro, and they will tell you its a rare find, when in fact they are the blue phase of the Black Aro....
