Hey guys,

I have in my 72 gallon some fish that are mine and some that are for my aunt when her tank cycles. Well I'm concerned about my 2 blue cleaner wrasses which they seem to be either cleaning each other, fighting or playing. Then I have a scooter blenny and a green mandarin, I'm concerned on what they should be eating. Help me, please!

scooters and mandarins unless trained otherwise are primarily pod eaters and will generally starve unless kept in a very well established tank with a lot of rock

your cleaner wrasses will likely be a big problem, its rare in my experience for them to survive well unless there is a ton for fish for them to clean, since their diet is based completely off cleaning fish... but i hope that yours do better and eat other things. I haven't tried keeping one in quite a wile for just that reason, but hopefully newer foods will be suitable.

Manderins and scooter blennies pretty much only eat live pods which makes them tricky/expensive to feed unless your tank can grow pods fast enough to keep them fed.

Suffice to say those are 3 of the most difficult breeds to keep.

my green mandarin looks skinny but he's been that way since i got him 3 months ago, he seems to be fine though he has a big appetite and loves frozen brine/mysis shrimp.

my tank seems to have alot of amphipods in it but not alot of copepods. so he must be munching on those aswell.
