well i have a tank with 2 rd's i sexxed wrong and ended up with 2 females. theirs a male FH who's hitting breeding size now. he gets beat up too but the females are going haywire! are they fighting for a mate or are they both raggin it? kinda sad cause it looks like he's picking the uglier of the RD's the other is bright red and has a pretty big kok for a fem (thats why i thought it was male) but she lays eggs and wont let anything near them. what to do!!!

How big is the tank?? RDs (and FHs) can be super territorial and aggressive, regardless of sex. I have seen some that just can't live with any tankmates at all, even in a huge tank. I've seen others that are more accepting. You may end up having to separate them.

the RD's are 8 months old at 6inches FH is 4-5 months at 5inches (no tails) the RD's grew up together since 2in and yea 3-4 months after put a FH in their. donno how big the tank is got it for free its around 4foot x 1.5 foot x 2foot tall

Thats a 75 gallon. It won't work forever. I think breeding red devils are usually aggressive to each other, and sometimes one gets killed. If you do get a male, make sure you have a divider. The flowerhorn will have to go if you want to breed the RDs.

You will need to get rid of the female you don't want, along with the flowerhorn, unless you don't mind having hybrid fry. Then try to get a male RD. The best way to get a pair is probably to get half a dozen and grow them all out together, but you probably don't want to do that.

i made a devider working out good the FH and ugly RD are real calm and cudling in a sucken ship. i wanted to breed the RD's but i guess thats out of the question ;(
